Since then, hundreds of readers have taken the time to post a review of my novels, and I am so very grateful to each of them. It means a great deal to an author to know that her novel has inspired a reader, and of course reviews help new readers to discover my books.
Today, I am sharing with you some of my favourite reviews of my novels. Words have such power, and these ones warm my heart and inspire me to keep on writing.
Burning Embers
More than just a book… Burning Embers reminds me of the sweeping old-fashioned romance novels that I used to read when I was younger. Hannah Fielding writes with a multi-sensory style that had me experiencing the story on so many unexpected levels. The language and imagery are lush, the history is intriguing and the characters are tormented. It was more than just a book, it was almost an event unto itself – and I’m glad I went along for the ride. – Martini Times Romance
A truly compelling and romantic tale that you won’t want to put down… ‘… a novel guaranteed to set your soul alight… This novel has everything from romance, to suspense and passion as well as betrayal and some truly touching moments that leave your heart warmed to the core. … Transporting you to the native and magical atmosphere of Africa, Fielding achieves a level of knowledge and intensity in her writing that leaves us as the reader taken to a mystical world that we can lose ourselves in. The perfect read to indulge in some escapism, Burning Embers is surprisingly Fielding’s debut novel and most definitely one to read. A truly compelling and romantic tale that you won’t want to put down.’ – Go City Girl
Burning Embers isn’t the type of novel you simply read – it is the kind of book you devour! By the end of the story, if you’re anything like me, you’ll be clutching and shredding Kleenex in your hands… one of the most beautiful and powerful love stories I’ve read in quite a while. – Book Bag Lady
The Echoes of Love
This is a story that plays with every human emotion possible… I found myself laughing, heartbroken, swooning and so much more… If you are in the mood for a swoon worthy romance set in beautiful Venice… this is for you. – The Cubicle Escapee
I absolutely adored the depth of the love story… Fielding encapsulates the overwhelming experience of falling deeply, completely, utterly in love beautifully, and the glorious backdrop of Venice, eloquently described throughout, is the perfect setting for this romantic novel… It reads like a film, indeed I can totally imagine it as a Baz Luhrman epic with glorious costumes and elaborate settings. – Books with Bunny
Throughout the novel it is the mesmerizing background of Venice that took my breath away… The charm, the history, the Carnival season, and all that water, make this city one of the destinations I desire to visit one day, and through her wonderful storytelling skills, Fielding takes her readers there through her words. I absolutely enjoyed this story and highly recommend it to those who enjoy unusual locales for their romantic reading. – Sharon’s Garden of Books
Indiscretion
It’s been just one day since I’ve read this book and believe me I miss it badly… I sensed every fragrance of Spain, I imagined every beautiful landscape there, I felt every feeling that the main characters feel and I enjoyed every single word written by Hannah Fielding. – Books Are My Life
Fully developed, intricate, intimate, heart wrenching – this novel is all these things and more. Myths, expectations, love and lust all collide to make one of the most compelling romances that I’ve read since Outlander. Seriously, five stars. An amazing novel that I felt like I could have highlighted the whole thing. – Books Are Delightful
Rich with atmosphere, scenes that bring breezes and sunshine to life with all the beauty and grace of the region… Tales of gypsies add a magical touch and the words of Hannah Fielding flow like a gentle river downstream. Lively characters that share a myriad of personalities and cause tension-filled scenes that will touch the inner romantic in all of us. – Tome Tender
Masquerade
A beautiful journey back in time to a beautiful city to experience a story filled with passion, heartbreak, revenge, betrayal, and love… If you’re a fan of beautiful settings, fabulous imagery, and descriptions that make you feel, smell, and sense the place then definitely read Masquerade. – Unwrapping Romance
A romantic, atmospheric story… This was honestly one of the most aesthetically pleasing and sensual books I’ve read in a long time. Of course, the setting played no small part in the sensuality of the novel. Cadiz came alive for me, and it was as though I was there, tasting the saltiness of the sea water and watching the bulls run. – Amazon review
A beautiful story I couldn’t get enough of… There really is something special about Hannah Fielding’s writing… I was soon completely pulled into the romantic and poetic way Hannah Fielding writes her stories… Her books are beautiful and just so romantic, you’ll never want them to end! It’s a promise! – Maureen’s Books
Legacy
Legacy is filled to the brim with family scandal, frustrated love and hidden secrets. Ruy is the ideal love interest, exuding both charm and intelligence, and Luna fits the part of innocent and fragile heroine perfectly. Fast-paced and addictive, it will keep you hooked from start to finish. – The Lady magazine
Epic and timeless… In the vein of ‘Gone With The Wind’, this particular book is just as epic and timeless. Written with lively detail, you are IN Spain. You are engulfed in the sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful country. – Have You Heard Book Reviews
Breathtaking and Dream-like… Mrs. Fielding describes the sites in an incredibly breathtaking way. It made me feel as though I was seeing the splendor of Spain through my very own eyes; that made feel nostalgic for a place I’ve never been… I’m not usually a hopeless romantic, but reading this novel got me soaring into a whole new level of exquisiteness and ardor. – Painfully Fictional
Aphrodite’s Tears
Greek islands, scorching summer, steamy romance… from its opening pages, Hannah Fielding’s sixth novel, Aphrodite’s Tears, establishes itself as escapism at its finest, and continues to do so as the smouldering interactions of the two leads and the lavish descriptions of life in rural Greece have you wishing away the winter for your own taste of sun-soaked life at the edge of the Ionian Sea. – Culture Fly
The writing is beautiful, melodic even… a delectable delight of mythology, history and a passionate romance. I admire authors who can transport their love of a culture and country onto the pages of a book, and in doing so inspire readers to experience new things. Not every scribe is capable of transporting their readers into the vivid imagery they create with words. Hannah Fielding is one of those authors. – Cheryl M-M’s Book Blog
An epic novel filled with a tempestuous love… This story is so entrancing and alluring… The storyline was exciting, it was sensual, it was dramatic, it was full of family drama that felt like it had stepped out of any of the Greek myths and legends storybooks. I was in awe of this stunning story. – Krafti Reader
Concerto
An exceptionally beautiful and heart-touching read which will stay with you long after you finish… This book was a passionate, sweeping love story from start to finish, full of hedonism, romance, and gorgeous descriptions of some of the world’s most luxurious and beautiful places. – Musings of Another Writer
One of the most beautiful romantic storylines that I have read in quite some time… I felt like I was at the opera from the comfort of my sofa, while reading this beautiful story. – Bookread2day
Totally recommended… With its gorgeous settings in the Riviera and Italy, this novel is a treat for all the senses, a kind of modern beauty and beast, with secrets, villains and dangers in the palace where the beast Umberto has retreated. Meanwhile music makes a beautiful redemptive healing thread throughout the novel, thoroughly apt and marvellous. – Lindsay’s Romantics
