The book’s cover is inspiring: The shadow of a couple kissing at sundown in the wilderness reflects Crystal and Raffe’s inner turmoil and romance, so well depicted in Burning Embers. I enjoyed reading it. Actually I have read it more than once. As for the webpage, it’s informative and very well designed.

I love Africa, I was born there and it’s the continent of my first kiss. I lived in the land that’s called “the warm heart of Africa” and I miss the warmth of the African sun. I’m a Dutch third culture kid, also known as a global nomad.

Having been born and brought up in Kenya (70s & 80s), sunsets and accacia trees remain etched in my memory and still is my favourite scenery. I can’t wait to read the book and relieve those nostalgic moments. Thank you for the opportunity.
